By my own amazing judgement, I approve of what Abraham Lincoln is doing with design. The front on the other hand...I’m still unsure of.

I think this is one of the most beautiful cars on sale. Truly!
Also, I am alone with this opinion.

I wouldn’t mind seeing more of these instead of Lexus ES’s.

The front doesn’t bother me; it doesn’t trigger an opinion one way or the other as far as I’m concerned.
The rear, however, is very nicely executed.

I like how the MKZ looks. It reminds me of a rolling sculpture, in a good way.
My sole critiques are regarding the lights: the front turn signals are below the bumper, and the reverse light - while well-placed and nicely bright - is too small to be seen from more angles.
I still wish Lincoln’s cars echoed the 2002 Continental Concept. Yes, cues from that went into the Zephyr and first-generation MKZ, but the entire car looked - and still looks - great.

Lincolns are like seeing a gorgeous figured woman from behind and then she turns around and she has the ugliest face ever.

I think Lincoln has finally hit their stride when it comes to design. Everything came together on the latest MKZ and the MKC and MKX have only improved on it.
IMO, the only problem area on the MKZ is the front. While it isn’t offensive like a Lexus, the headlight/grill graphic looks like a flat sticker pasted onto a blunt surface. It just feels rather uninspired. The MKC and MKX don’t seem to have that problem, though.

I’m in the minority in that I really like the front and don’t the back.
I think the rear light strip is weak, like they slapped on a LED strip they bought at AutoZone.
The fine lines of the grille seem classy to me, with a hint of sinister.
But what do I know? Its not like I’ll be buying one any time soon.

I believe in College Bro parliance that is referred to as a “butterface”. Presumably it has something to do with how butter just looks kinda gross.

Oh, that is sad. As a lover of cooking, I could never compare butter to something ugly.
